POLICIES

Rule #1 — Don’t be a dick. Rule #2, refer to Rule #1. Period.

Zero Tolerance Harassment Policy — Horror on Main wants to insure everyone has a good time in a safe environment, regardless of gender or identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion, and we will not tolerate harassment in any form. Cosplay* is not consent. No is a complete sentence. And silence defaults to no. We not only expect attendees to behave accordingly, we hold our vendors, Guests of Honor, and staff to the same standard. Anyone found in violation of this policy may be removed from the event without refund or apologies at the discretion Horror on Main LLC. We reserve the right to refuse admission of known harassers as either attendees or vendors. If you witness or experience any form of harassment at the event, please contact staff immediately.

COVID — Current local regulations will be posted and updated here as we get closer to the convention weekend.

Regardless of local or venue regulations, we strongly encourage attendees to be fully vaccinated and support anyone who wishes to wear a mask while at the event. If and when regulations change, we will update this policy. Anyone found harassing an attendee wearing a mask for their own comfort level or safety of others, please see our harassment policy above.

Safety — Staff and security may, at their discretion, request to check a bag for security reasons. They may also ask to scan attendees with a metal detector. Refusing to comply with the request may result in immediate removal from the event without refund. If either of these inspections finds a threat or danger to staff or event attendees, police will take care of the situation. Theft, threats, hate speech, hateful propaganda or clothing, or other negative outbursts can result with the offender being removed and banned from future events. Horror on Main retains the right to refuse entry to attendees or vendors, and may remove individuals for policy infringement or inappropriate behavior.

Weapons — Real weapons of any kind are not allowed at the event. If you wish to have fake weapons (lightweight, plastic or foam) at the show for your cosplay or to have it signed, please get it approved at the Ticket Counter at the bottom of the escalator. If it is deemed too dangerous, we will ask you return it to your room or vehicle. Use common sense.

Photo Waiver — Horror on Main staff will take pictures of the crowd, vendors, guests, etc. during the event. Attendees acknowledge that these, and the free souvenir photos offered may be used for marketing purposes.

Staff — Horror on Main staff will be wearing clearly marked vests during duty hours. If a staff member is not wearing their vest, they are on private time or assigned a stationary position and cannot move but can answer questions, please defer to an on-duty staff member for your question or concern. Security and undercover police officers will be on-site throughout the weekend and called to duty if Horror on Main staff deems it necessary.

Swag — We love it. We welcome it. Whether or not you are a vendor, we invite you to put your small-item swag (stickers, postcards, business cards, buttons, etc) on available tables and counters. Please keep these items to the convention area and do not leave them in the general hotel. Please do not set these on vendor tables without the permission of the owner. Also, any items not collected by the end of the convention weekend, will be thrown away. If you’d like your items in our swag bags, please visit this page and fill out the form.

We reserve the right to change or modify any policy or rule at any time and without notice.
