Less than two weeks to go!

If there are any questions, please feel free to ask. There is an Update Area at the bottom of this newsletter to be added to with questions and answers AFTER this is sent, so you can come back to the page and check for updates. https://horroronmain.com/vendors/vendor-newsletter/

Load-In (and out)

All WEEKEND vendors are in the upper back ballroom area. If you come in the front of the hotel by the main check-in desk, you would follow route 1 (red). If you come in from downstairs, out back (parking lot), you follow route 2 (blue). All One-Day Only (Sat/Sun) vendors are downstairs where the blue route is.

Staff will be in the hotel as of 3pm Friday, with possible setup available Friday night, after 5pm. If you are interested in Friday night setup, please let me know ASAP so we have an idea how many would like early access. Otherwise, setup begins at 7am on Saturday and you must be ready to go by 9:30am, doors open at 10am.

Check in with us first to get your wristbands before you go into the Vendor Hall. We have wristbands for the people and children you noted as attending, and a map showing you your location in the layout. Please put the wristbands on immediately and keep them on until the end of the show. Lost wristbands will cost $5 to replace.

Carts: Please do not hoard the hotel luggage carts, as they are needed by vendors, staff, and regular guests as well. This is a first come first serve situation, and we do ask that you don't stash luggage carts in your room preemptively as it affects more than just us.
For Load-Out: the event is done at 5 pm each day, after the last drawing for the raffles. We do ask that you breakdown and remove your displays and products immediately after we close (rather than eating first and coming back). Do NOT break down early. Anyone who breaks down early will be noted and your attendance at future events could be affected.
Reminders: Weekend people will need to stay at their tables until the last raffle is done, so your tables are not unattended and still available for sales. We saw many people shopping during the raffle rather than gathering for the drawing. Saturday/Sunday people, we will be closing that area down at 5, since the raffles are upstairs, and you can begin breaking down at that point.

I'm a Vendor at... Let you audience know!

Safe Vendors

We offer SAFE VENDORS (the neighborhood watch) at Horror on Main/The Grim Market. For those returning, you are familiar with this. For those who are new, this is part of how we keep everyone safe. There are signs posted in the bathroom that say:

If you is being followed or otherwise harassed, walk up to ANY vendor (not celebrity) and ask “have you seen Laurie?” They will immediately invite you to come behind the table to get away from the person. They will then flag down staff and we will take care of it to the level that makes you comfortable, without revealing who reported them.

We are offering this to both create a safe place for all our attendees, guests, and vendors, but also so we can deal with the situation in a more discreet manor and not disrupt the event. If anyone asks you about "Laurie" please have them come behind and sit with you, check their immediate surroundings, flag one of our staff, and try to keep the person calm until we get there. We do not anticipate problems, but we prepare for them. The only issue we have had was several years ago, and it was actually a vendor being harassed and it was dealt with the same way.

We mean it when we say we have a ZERO tolerance policy, and we will remove anyone violating it — attendee, vendor, or guest of honor. If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to ask. And yes, if you are having a problem with anyone, absolutely tell us.

Food & Drinks

We are spotlighting the food trucks as well as your vendors in the facebook event. They will be located in the back parking lot. Take the elevator down to the 1st floor and right outside that door. Feel free to grab lunch or early dinner and bring it back to your table—we fully understand and appreciate you need to eat!

There will be water stations outside the closed lower door and elsewhere in the hall for both the general public and you, so bring your water bottles and travel mugs! It is self-serve, but if you need assistance with a refill, just flag down one of our vendor staff and they'll gladly get you a refill if they can.

You are our neighborhood and we aim to treat you as much more than some number at a table. If there is anything we can do for you during the event, or suggestions to improve things for future event, do not hesitate to let us know.

Check your spam folders!

I will be emailing you individually as I do final checks and run downs, if I have any questions about your table, tickets, listed names, raffle, etc. Please remember to whitelist our emails to make sure you get them:
