Thank You!!!

First and foremost, thank you all so much for coming and being part of Horror on Main 2024 (or as we're calling it, HOM 1.5, not quite "year 2" because we moved and that meant starting fresh in a lot of ways). We were delighted to have you as we build our foundation for the coming years.

Thoughts

And this is where I ask your honest thoughts. Any and all comments are welcome. Grievances. Issues. Complaints. Compliments. Praise. Good or bad, we actually want to know. Then we know what to change, what to keep, and where to improve for the future.

One of the many things that makes us difference is that we honestly do want to hear from you. We take care of and listen to our vendors to make the event on a whole better but also to ensure YOU all have improved experiences year to year.

Neighborhood Watch

Among the different bits we offer is the "where's Laurie" way of people seeking help from Safe Vendors. How did that go this year? Did you have any issues, reported or otherwise?

Pizza

Pizza will be returning next year! Though, there are some convention layout changes happening, so the delivery system will be different. We will also be offering a green room for the vendors to go grab their own drinks (rather than it being tucked behind the staff wall).

If there's any thoughts or comments on either the pizza party or the beverage/snack services provided, please share them!

Next Year

Yes, there will be a next year. We have the contract with the hotel already, but are not announcing until we have the hotel block ready and the vendor application page ready to go. ALL vendors will be in one location. Period.

Vendor Applications. Yes, we're changing things a little bit. We need to make sure our diversity is diverse and we had far too many of certain products this year. (Because we like to make sure there aren't similar things next to each other, we should only have X of any one type of item so they can be spaced properly. A couple of those things had double that this year.)

More will be decided, finalized, explained, and added to the page when we open it up, but right now the plan is for our vendor manager to vet each application. Whether we grade them and then choose, or do a lottery of those above a certain grade, we don't know yet. I've also suggested if we do a lottery that any returning vendor gets their name added to the bucket twice to better their odds. If you have thoughts, ideas, questions, etc. on the new system, please feel free to reach out and let us know.

NOTE: Zero Tolerance means just that. We did have an issue with two vendors this year regarding respect of other vendors and they will not be returning. We did not find out about it until after the fact and I HATE that. Please, for the love of all that is holy, if you ever have an issue with anyone, be it guest, vendor or celebrity, tell is immediately. I would much rather refund a problem and send them packing than ruin an experience for innocent bystanders.
Reminder, we have an anonymous survey available if you have feedback but want to remain private. You can also use the survey and state exactly who you are if it makes responding to the many questions here easier...

Again, thank you for being part of Horror on Main!
